I am thrilled to be a part of the Casey community! This is my 19th year teaching middle school science. I am originally from East Lansing, Michigan. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Denison University, I moved to Colorado to attend graduate school at CU Boulder. I discovered my love of teaching as I completed my Masters degree in animal behavior. I am passionate about both science and creating a student centered, minds-on, inquiry oriented learning environment. My students continually inspire me to create opportunities to develop and practice their ability to analyze, create, problem solve and innovate.
I have lived in the mountains outside of Boulder for the last 20 years with my husband J. We have two amazing kids, Sage and Teagan. When I'm not at school, you can find me cheering on Sage at the soccer field or Teagan at the swimming pool or hiking or running in the mountains with J and our three dogs, Muddy, Zia and Tulip. Feel free to contact me anytime using the contact form or by contacting me directly.
